Reference Library (2st Floor)
The Centre's reference library contains hundreds of books and journals devoted to the historical, technical, and cultural study of textiles, in particular on China. Computers provide access to the collection database, which offers images and descriptive information about the Centre’s collection items, maximizing the information available to scholars and the public while minimizing the textiles' exposure to light, dust, and handling.

The library is open to members with an appointment.
Storage and Archive (2st Floor)
The textile archive was built on a private collection collected over 20 years ago, at present, reaching to over 5000 items. The collection includes items from different regions of China, embracing different minority groups, with a diversity of materials, techniques, functions and forms, dating from Qing dynasty to the present.

The Centre provides the environmental conditions necessary for the long-term preservation of these fragile works of art, as well as study and research facilities for internal staff and the general public. It includes onsite access to the collection database, study space for the examination of the textiles themselves, and a reference library for the historical, technical, and cultural study of textiles.
