Friends from Afar

“Hills, high or low, will be known if fairies dwell. Waters, deep or shallow, will be charmed if dragons lurk.” Historically the water town of Jinze was renowned for its talents and heroes. And it still is.

We are having two resident artists this season. Mascha Mioni, a long-time international artist from Lucerne who specializes in wearable art and whose works have been exhibited in several countries around the world. The other one is a young weaver from California – Sarah Chu, whose theme of weaving project is focused on natural landscape.

What inspiration would they find in Jinze this Autumn? You can come to see it all for yourself in the upcoming Guided Tour on 29th November. Mascha and Sarah will be glad to see you around and share their art creations with you.

Also on display is collection of textile gifts from our international friends who visited Jinze for the 9iss event.

Cruise through the canal town, stroll along the ancient bridges, chat about arts and crafts, and a little bit of spinning and weaving – these are all parts of a good day’s programme!

Round trip coach between People's Square and our Centre available. Click here to see a location map of the pick-up point.
