Year of the Ram Spring Workshop: Eco-print & Nuno Felt
This is a 3 day weekend workshop made possible by visiting artist/craftsman from Hong Kong, Ms Terriea Kwong
To maximize her visit, she will share with us 3 different crafts. All these crafts can be practiced back at home with minimal tools.
· Eco print:
Using the abundant plants around Jinze, we will learn to make unique one off botanical prints on silk or wool fabrics. Everyone will bring home your own unique scarf. Bring your favourite plants to try. Eucalyptus and rose leaves have excellent effects.
· Nuno felting:
This is a unique method of bonding wool fibers on to sheer fabric, creating a textile with soft hand feel and texture. May be you have an old chiffon georgette blouse you would want to restyle.
· Wet Felting:
Learn how wool fibres makes a 3 dimensional form without going through the normal process of spinning and weaving. You will making a smart phone case. Being your pet’s hair to try!
